Micro USB

  1. Micro USB is a relatively old USB standard specified connector which appeared in 2007.
  2. It is designed to connect some mobile and compact devices like MP3 players, smartphones, and digital cameras.
  3. There are three forms of micro USB interface including micro A, micro B, and micro USB 3.
  4. Micro USB 3.0 has a very similar look to the Type-B micro USB, but it has an extra pin group on the side used for twice the wires.
  5. Micro-USB connector is very small and it let manufacturers produce slimmer devices.
  6. They are cheaper than type C.

USB C

  1. Also known as USB Type-C or even type C.
  2. It is a connector system designed with a 24-pin group introduced in 2014.
  3. The two-fold rotationally symmetrical design is the most distinctive feature.
  4. They can be used to transmit data but deliver power as a single cable.
  5. It offers faster data transfer than the previous USB version.
  6. It has a flexible design you can plug USB C in whichever way without worrying about which side is up, which will reduce wear.
  7. They are able to simultaneously upload and download data.
  8. It can deliver power up to 100W.
  9. It can transmit data up to 10 Gbps.
